As Scholars in public administration, to us this data seems to be the real picture of what is going on in the country right now. At the same time cannot deny the success stories coming from various parts of the country,because of efforts of the government of india, various state governments and the stakeholders / partners in the mammoth task of establishing e- Governance. Ten years ago, we used to wonder how the manual and electronic typewriters have been replaced by the powerful, smart computers.Yes we used to call them smart typewriters as they don,t make noise. Now ,the computers have really become very SMART: the acronym for e- Government.
