College Prose for Communication is a prose anthology with a difference. The editors have carefully avoided the canonical texts that appear in almost all the anthologies in new combinations. In the supplementary material, the focus is on lexical grammar rather than on sentential grammar. In fact, the isolated sentences has been totally avoided. There is, however, a separate section on error correction which takes care of the usage aspect. It is hoped that this new approach, prompted by the current theoretical understanding on the teaching of grammer, will make the classroom work livelier and interactive.
