கஸ்தூரிபாவைப் பற்றிய ஏராளமான விவரங்களை அவருடைய குடும்பத்தினரிடமே நேரடியாகப் பேசி, தெரிந்து கொண்டு எழுதியிருக்கிறார் பரணீதரன்.

ஸ்ரீதராகவும் மெரினாவாகவும்கூடப் பிரபலமான இவர், பரணீதரனாக எழுதிய காதல் படைப்பு இதுவே.

கஸ்தூரிபாவைப் பற்றி தமிழில் வெளிவந்திருக்கும் மிக முக்கியமான புத்தகம் இது. மிக நீண்ட இடைவெளிக்குப் பிறகு இப்போது மீண்டும் செம்பதிப்பாக வெளிவருகிறது.

There are many books on Mahatma which can give enough knowledge about him. But only a few books have come out on his wife Kasturibai who was helpful to him in all his activities. Kasturi Tilagam, which appeared as a serial in Anantha Vikatan in 1964, was well received. Bharanidaran has written the book after having collected a lot of information from Kasturibai's family members themselves. Though he became popular under the names of Sridar and Merina, this is a romantic creation by him as Bharanidaran. This is a very important book about Kasturibai which has come out in Tamil. After a long interval, it has come out again as a classic edition.
